WATER OUTAGE UPDATE

May 09, 2024

We have the temporary pump up and running.  Crews have been out there all-night working.  Water is flowing your way.    It will take a while.  We must pump it slowly, so we don’t cause leaks.  Some customers have just now run out of water, if that is you, you will probably be the last to get water. But it is slowly heading your way.

Once water gets to you, remember you are under a boil water notice until TCEQ rescinds the Boil Water Notice.

UPDATE ON WATER OUTAGE

A temporary pump will hopefully be set up for operation by Thursday, so that we can get water flowing back to our customers.  We will have to fill very slowly, so even if we get water moving by Thursday it may take a while to get to you.

Also, Permian Pump and Power have graciously donated a pallet of water for people affected by the water outage.  It may be picked up at the County Precinct barn in Pear Valley.

Update On WATER Outage

Currently we are attempting to reroute water to some of the affected areas. This fix has its own issues.  Rerouting the water can cause leaks in our main, so this must be done slowly.

Also, we have been trying to locate pumps for a temporary fix, however the pumps we need have not been easy to locate. The plan is to get the pumps to Melvin and do a temporary fix until we can rebuild the Melvin Pump Station. 

M-DWSC is doing everything we can to get water restored.  This will take time.
